Tigers Suffer 11-7 Setback
|
49'ers right fielder Leonard Wright put his stamp on his team's 11-7 win over the LSU Tigers. Wright went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Long Beach State in the contest. With the win, Long Beach State pushes its record to 3-3.
Bob Young was a key contributor to the win for the 49'ers. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to center. He went 2-5 with a double and a walk.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Richie Robertson said.
