Parker Excels, But Tigers Win
The LSU Tigers outlasted Steve Parker and the UCLA Bruins, 10-8. Parker was impressive in the loss. The UCLA second baseman went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Justin Cooper finished the game for LSU and earned his 1st save. The win leaves LSU with a record of 3-1.

A defensive miscue in the bottom of the third cost the Bruins. With LSU leading 3-2, Dan Clark reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run. LSU ended up winning the ballgame.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Clark told the LSU Citizen.
