49'ers Trounce Cougars, 10-3

Long Beach State played host to Washington State at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Macclenny College.
Long Beach State 49'ers starter Sean Bryant was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Washington State Cougars, 10-3. Bryant, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run.
Doing his part for Long Beach State was left fielder Will Southern, who stroked a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, Southern was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
