Volunteers Knock Off Hurricanes, 3-1

In a well-pitched game between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Miami Hurricanes, pitcher Bartolo Mora was fantastic. The Tennessee left-hander was named the player of the game in Tennessee's 3-1 win. Carl Bailey earned the save for Tennessee, his 6th of the year. Their 21-25 record puts the Volunteers 18th in the Ron Fraser Division.
Scott Martin had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, helping Tennessee to the win.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Tennessee manager Michael Simpson said afterward.
