Commodores Shut Out Volunteers
|
The Vanderbilt Commodores powered past the Tennessee Volunteers, 8-0, at Madera College Grounds. Foster Miller was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Vanderbilt is now 18-27, Tennessee 19-25.
Vanderbilt grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Miller, who is tied for 9th in the SBL in doubles with 11, hit a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Commodores out in front, 4-0.
"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said Miller. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."
