Sooners Beat Cavaliers, 4-3

The Oklahoma Sooners eked out a 4-3 win versus the Virginia Cavaliers at Ballpark of Redwood College. Nobody did more than pitcher Leonard Prince, who captured player of the game honors. Prince picked up the win for Oklahoma, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. The Sooners bumped their record to 23-22 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the fifth, David Adkins took a curveball from Clement Charles and pounded a 3-run home run to left. It put Oklahoma on top, 4-1. For the game, Adkins was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
Prince attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
