Koellerer Excels in Michigan Win
With center fielder Richard Koellerer leading the charge, the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 11-6, at Siege Ballpark. Koellerer, who is tied for 4th in the SBL in runs scored with 41, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Michigan reliever Tony Thomas picked up the win, upping his record to 7-0. Dave Kirkland took the loss. Michigan is now 31-12, 4 games up in the Ron Fraser Division.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the seventh when Koellerer, who is tied for 8th in the SBL in doubles with 11, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Wolverines into the lead, 9-5.

"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Koellerer told the Michigan Daily.
