Bombers Lose to Jesters, 7-3
|
Jersey rode a decent outing from starter Alejandro García to victory over the South Carolina Bombers at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. The final score was 7-3. García, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. The Jesters bumped their record to 35-23 with this latest triumph.
The Jesters got a big at-bat from first baseman Eugene Heady. For the game, Heady was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Jersey a 2-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said García.
