Jayhawks Suffer 7-6 Loss to Sycamores
|
Indiana State right fielder Carl Barnes picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Kansas Jayhawks, 7-6. Indiana State reliever Wesley White picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Edmund Torres took the loss. The Sycamores improved to 16-21.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Barnes. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Sycamores were trailing 6-5, Barnes delivered a two-out 2-run single for Indiana State, giving his team the lead.
"Good to pick up this win," Barnes said.
