Seminoles Knock Off Florida at Ballpark of Bismarck College
|
The Florida State Seminoles and starting pitcher Octávio Shaw stifled the Florida offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Ballpark of Bismarck College. The 4th-place Seminoles have won 4 straight games.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Seminoles sent teenager Andy Walters to the plate against Gators hurler Jim Unknown. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 0-1 fastball to score 3.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Shaw.
