Oklahoma State left-hander Mark Carney made an effective start against the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ballpark of Bloomfield College, leading his team to a 8-4 win. Oklahoma State is now 19-17.
Joseph Cummings was a key contributor to the win for the Cowboys. In the top of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to right-center. He went 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
"Mark was throwing strikes, locating well," said Oklahoma State manager Carlton Price.
