Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Don Rowe, the Indiana State Sycamores defeated the Clemson Tigers, 5-4. Rowe went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk for the Sycamores. Brandon Simms locked down his 6th save. The 21st-place Sycamores raised their record to 14-20.

Rowe contributed when he hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh. Coming with no outs and the bases empty, the home run proved to be critical to helping Indiana State get the win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rowe said after the game.
