Hurricanes Roll to 8-1 Win Over Gamecocks
|
The South Carolina Gamecocks and Miami Hurricanes brought some excitement to Scandals Ballpark.
The Miami Hurricanes thumped the South Carolina Gamecocks, 8-1, at Scandals Ballpark. Doug Flannery was a big reason his team got the win. Flannery went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Hurricanes raised their record to 22-12.
Ken Donovan had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the top of the third inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he got hit by a pitch, helping Miami to the win.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Flannery told the Miami Today. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
