Donahue Delivers Walk-Off Win for Sooners
|
Oklahoma overcame a superlative game from Jesse Wagner to beat Indiana State, 3-2. The Indiana State pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Spike O'Rourke picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 7-0. Brandon Simms was tagged with the loss. Oklahoma has now won 3 in a row.
Joe Donahue was the walk-off hero for Oklahoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Oklahoma center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Donahue.
