In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Kansas Jayhawks dealt the Vanderbilt Commodores a 8-1 loss at Brutes Ballpark. Chad Roberts was the star on offense. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kansas currently is in last place in the Ron Fraser Division at 10-22.
Jim Unknown found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Vanderbilt hurler John Rhyne, the 18-year-old pinch hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run. His 1st walk of the season put the Jayhawks on top, 2-1.
