The Florida State Seminoles had to overcome a big game from Oklahoma designated hitter Neil DeBohun to leave Biglerville College Fields with a 6-5 victory. DeBohun went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Florida State reliever Will Larson picked up the win, bumping his record to 6-1. Tim Perkins was collared with the loss. Eugene Montgomery earned the save, his 4th, for the Seminoles.
Butch Hall, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the ninth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Tim Perkins for a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put Florida State in front, 6-5.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hall.
Florida State is now 15-13, Oklahoma 15-14.
