Auburn Bats Go Silent in 4-0 Loss
|
Wake Forest beat Auburn on the strength of starter Dave Hamm's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-0 win. Jim Unknown locked down his 1st save. Wake Forest now sits in 6th place in the Ron Fraser Division at 16-11.
One of the key players for the Demon Deacans was center fielder Joe Sanders, who drilled a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Sanders went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
