Parker Leads Gamecocks to Win over Cowboys
|
A 4-RBI performance from Maxwell Parker helped the South Carolina Gamecocks beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 6-4. South Carolina reliever Eric Barber was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Tony Snow took the loss for Oklahoma State. The Gamecocks saw their record improve to 11-14.
One important at-bat for South Carolina came with two out in the bottom of the third inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Parker hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Gamecocks win.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said South Carolina manager Orlando Torres.
