Multi-HR Day for Cunningham as Wolverines Overpower Cowboys, 12-6
|
The Michigan Wolverines grabbed a 12-6 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Canaries Ballpark. Michigan left fielder Craig Cunningham was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 to earn player of the game honors. Joe Ball was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 10 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Michigan has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the sixth inning, third baseman Milton Jones came through big-time for the Wolverines. With Michigan leading 5-4, he belted a 3-run home run.
