Sycamores Knock Off Ohio State at Pit Vipers Ballpark
|
The Indiana State Sycamores dealt the Ohio State Buckeyes a 5-3 loss at Pit Vipers Ballpark. Carl Barnes was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. The Ohio State losing streak has now reached 5 games.
Indiana State catcher Manny Pérez changed the complexion of the game in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Dave Johnston. His 5th home run of the season put Indiana State in front, 4-3.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Barnes told the Indiana State Observer.
