Wolverines Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Benefiting from the performance of Richard Koellerer, the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, 7-5. Koellerer went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Wolverines. Gary Hunter sewed up the save, his 3rd. At 12-7, the Wolverines find themselves in 7th place in the Ron Fraser Division.
Koellerer had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Wolverines. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Michigan trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Michigan manager Esteban Núñes.
