Gators Take Down Razorbacks, 6-5
|
The Florida Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks obliged those fans who came to Ballpark of Bismarck College hoping for an exciting game.
The Florida Gators dealt the Arkansas Razorbacks a 6-5 loss at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Earnest Stansfield was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Carlos Ramírez earned the win for Florida. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. Walter Kelly earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Stansfield came through with some timely hitting for Florida. With the score 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Stansfield hit a 0-2 curveball for a 2-run single. His 17th hit of the season made it 6-4, Florida.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Stansfield. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
The 23rd-place Gators now have a win-loss record of 5-13.
