Seminoles Take 10-0 Pounding

The Commodores had to overcome a good performance from Florida State pitcher Josh Wiggins to claim a 10-0 win at Ballpark of Riverdale College. Wiggins went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Robert Rasmussen earned the save, his 1st. Vanderbilt is in 10th place in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 10-8.
Kevin Byrd contributed to the Vanderbilt cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, propelling Vanderbilt to the win.
"The Commodores definitely had our number," said Florida State manager Gene Barraclough.
