The Oklahoma State Cowboys topped the Vanderbilt Commodores, 11-5, with shortstop Mike Lee playing a big role. Lee was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Cowboys in the win. Damian Genovez got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Cowboys have an impressive 11-6 record.

In the bottom of the 8th, pinch hitter William Fernández gave Oklahoma State the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Cowboys had been trailing 5-4, but the two-out single off Vanderbilt pitcher John Younger changed that -- and Oklahoma State went on to win.
