In a low-scoring game between Auburn and Georgia, pitcher Craig Powell was excellent. The Auburn left-hander was named the player of the game in Auburn's 2-1 win. Auburn reliever Woody Gross picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Sancho López shouldered the loss. The save was credited to Domingo Pérez, his 8th.
