The Michigan Wolverines picked up a win at Ballpark of Redwood College, knocking off the Virginia Cavaliers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Vincent Roger played a key role in the triumph. The 9th-place Wolverines improved to 9-7.

Richard Koellerer helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Michigan a 2-0 lead.

Koellerer told a Michigan Daily reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
