Rynd Stars in Gamecocks Win

The rain came, as predicted, but the South Carolina Gamecocks and Tennessee Volunteers were able to complete their ballgame.
Jim Rynd helped his team muscle past the Tennessee Volunteers, 12-5. In the game, the South Carolina catcher was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Tom Bridges earned the win for South Carolina. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when third baseman Brian Jackson reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs. The Gamecocks went on to win.
