Seminoles Top Tigers to Even Record
|
The Florida State Seminoles topped the Missouri Tigers, 6-1, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Riverdale College. The player of the game was Florida State left fielder Butch Hall. Florida State reliever Will Larson picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Randy McKinney was collared with the loss. Florida State now sits at 7-7, while Missouri falls to 5-9.
Doing his part for Florida State was first baseman Richard Banks, who stroked a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third. For the game, Banks went 2-5 with a triple and a double.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Florida State Seminoles manager Gene Barraclough, "I like our chances."
