The Brooklyn Black Knights scored a 6-5 win versus the Portland Beavers at Waterfront Park. Brooklyn pitcher Felipe Clavijo nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Clavijo went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-2. The win puts the Black Knights at 25-33, while the Beavers drop to 31-28.

Kata Nishikawa contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped Brooklyn get the win.
