Marauders Stymie So Cal, Take 3-1 Win
|
Maple got a first-rate effort from pitcher Landy Lu, who frustrated So Cal hitters en route to a 3-1 Marauders triumph at House of the Republic. Lu got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. Lu allowed 1 earned run. Maple has now won 4 games in a row.
George Soucy contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the third. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he reached on catcher's interference. It was one at-bat that helped Maple get the win.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Maple manager Arinori Nakamura.
