The Iowa State Cyclones coasted to a win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 10-3. Will Gardner had a good day at the plate for Iowa State. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Seosamh Fair picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mark Carney was tagged with the loss. Iowa State is now 5-7, while Oklahoma State is 8-4.
Gardner had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Cyclones went on to win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Gardner.
