Nakayama Propels Seattle to 2-0 Win
|
In a tight battle between the Seattle Sasquatch and the Jersey Jesters, pitcher Jun Nakayama was in the zone. The Seattle left-hander was named the player of the game in Seattle's 2-0 win. Greg Ward earned the save for Seattle, his 7th of the year. Seattle has now won 4 straight.
Nakayama's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 6.2 innings while allowing 2 hits. Nakayama, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL with a 2.49 ERA, goes to 6-2 on the year with 54 strikeouts.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Seattle manager Carl Best.
