Demon Deacans Pick Up 6-1 Win
|
Brandon Malet never let the Seminoles get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his change up, to pitch the Demon Deacans to a 6-1 win. With the win, Wake Forest goes to 19-13, while the Seminoles fall to 17-15.
Making an impact for Wake Forest was third baseman Ricardo Zalapa. He drilled a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, Zalapa went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We had a good game plan," Malet said, "and we were able to execute it."
