Vanderbilt Wins 6-0 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
Vanderbilt left-hander Mike Fuller was sensational in shutting out the Kansas Jayhawks, 6-0. Fuller got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Fuller allowed no earned runs. John Rhyne earned the save, his 1st, for the Commodores.
The fans who came in support of the Commodores were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Ballpark of Barrow College.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Fuller.
Vanderbilt, now 7-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.
