Toreros Take Nail-Biter Over Danger
Cabo San Lucas Toreros starter Phoenix Smith turned in a sterling performance against the Duke City Danger, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The winner was Mulia Kathirithamby in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Leonardo Reynoso took the loss. Cabo San Lucas is now 28-29, while Duke City is 32-25.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Cabo San Lucas second baseman Damian Hoolahan, facing Leonardo Reynoso, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Toreros the 3-2 win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Smith said in his postgame press conference.
