Auburn and Florida met at Ballpark of Bismarck College in front of a lively crowd.

Auburn starter Mark Larson kept the Florida hitters in check, while his team cruised to a 9-0 win. The Tigers raised their record to 5-3.

In the bottom of the eighth, Jeff Klein stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Gators were trailing 6-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Spencer James made a terrific pitch and Klein struck out. Gone was the dream of a Florida comeback.
