7-4 Win by Crimson Tide Continues Hot Start
|
Indiana State center fielder Logan Moore was sensational. He was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Alabama beat the Sycamores, 7-4. Moore was named the player of the game despite the loss. Pat Brady picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 2-0. The save was credited to Ray Burns, his 2nd.
Chipping in for Alabama was center fielder Hugh Harris. He stroked a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Harris went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs.
"Good win for us," said Harris. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
The loss lowers the Indiana State record to 2-5.
