Late Rally by Sooners Secures Win

Getting an impressive start from Tim Perkins, Oklahoma beat Florida State by the score of 5-2. Oklahoma reliever John Armstrong was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. Rodrigo Ortíz picked up the save, his 1st.
Oscar Smith made it 5-2 in favor of Oklahoma when he delivered a 3-run home run. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Sooners went on to win.
"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Smith.
With the loss, Florida State falls to 2-4.
