The Auburn Tigers downed the Clemson Tigers, 8-5, at Zodiac Ballpark. Norm Clark led the way, going 2-for-4 for Auburn. Auburn, now 2-1, has played well in the early going.

The Tigers were down to their final out when first baseman John Lawrence turned a 1-0 fastball from David Ward into a grand slam home run. The walk-off home run made the Zodiac Ballpark crowd go wild.

"This joint was rocking," said Lawrence.
