Blue Claws Saddle Saints with 7-2 Loss
The Baltimore Blue Claws beat the St. Paul Saints, 7-2, at Old Bay Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Shunsho Meshizuka, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. At 69-48, Baltimore is in second place in the Buck O'Neil League Mariner Moose Division.

Meshizuka came through with some timely hitting for Baltimore. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the first and no one down, Meshizuka hit a 0-1 cutter for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made it 2-1, Baltimore.

"I felt good up there," said Meshizuka. "I saw the ball well."
