|
The inspired effort of Coney Island center fielder Jens de Wijs was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Barrow Frosties. de Wijs was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Barrow now owns a record of 66-51.
António Romero contributed to the Barrow win. The 20-year old shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Romero went 1-2 with a walk.
