Bloodhounds Beat Vikings, 7-4
|
The Boise Bloodhounds beat the Victoria Vikings, 7-4, at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Boise right fielder Hun Cho earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He belted 2 home runs. Robinson Merrado got the save, his 12th in 17 chances. The Bloodhounds raised their record to 52-62.
Boise took the lead with one out in the bottom of the seventh when Clive Staniforth stroked a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4 in favor of Boise. For the day, Staniforth went 1-2.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Cho. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
