The Boise Bloodhounds did just enough to sneak past the Victoria Vikings, 5-4, at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Boise designated hitter Xiao-peng Chuang earned player of the game honors. Robinson Merrado earned the save, his 11th. The 6th-place Bloodhounds have won 6 consecutive games.
Chuang turned the game around in the bottom of the seventh. That's when the Boise designated hitter dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Boise's 3-2 deficit turned into a 5-3 lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said Victoria manager Charles Luce. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
