Coney Island second baseman Jens de Wijs was instrumental in his team's 7-4 win over the Kingwood Knights. de Wijs went 3-5 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cyclones. The Knights have now dropped 7 straight.

In the bottom of the 4th, the Cyclones grabbed the lead when Gilberto Madraso rapped a two-out home run. Coney Island was trailing 1-0, when Madraso hit a 3-run home run off Dave Hamm to put his team in front, 3-1.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Rodger Raymond. "But it's got to translate into wins."
