The rain at The Barn did not keep Baltimore and Winfield from finishing their game.

Baltimore right-hander Masaharu Aoki was sensational in shutting out the Winfield Warriors, 2-0. Dae-je Kwak got the save, the 9th for him this season.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Blue Claws sent teenager Norm Beaubien to the plate against Warriors hurler Norberto Bianchi. With the bases empty and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a home run off a 2-0 fastball to score 1.

"We did just enough to win," Beaubien said.

The second-place Blue Claws have won 6 in a row.
