Loss Extends Charleston Losing Streak
|
Winfield pitcher Octávio Pérez did his part in helping his team beat the Charleston Panthers, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Alfonso Romero finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The losses continue to mount for Charleston, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Winfield third baseman Garrett Pearson contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Pearson went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
