Kingwood third baseman Jim Weeks had a good game, even if his team did not. The Knights dropped a 9-6 decision to San Angelo at Stable Park. Weeks was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. San Angelo reliever Todd Mullins picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-2. Ruggiero Valturri was collared with the loss. The Mustangs are now 62-41, while the Knights fall to 39-65.

San Angelo took the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jean-Bernard Chenu stroked a 2-run double to make it 8-6, Mustangs.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Dave Callahan.
