Eugene Makes It 6 Straight with 6-5 Win
Eugene beat Victoria at Prefontaine Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Wilson Polk, who earned player of the game honors. The win was James Woodard's in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Mal Goff took the loss for Victoria. Eugene has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Eugene won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Mal Goff on the mound for Victoria, pinch hitter Anastasio Pineda hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Emeralds fans to their feet.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Pineda said.
