Losing Streak Continues for Gnats with 6-2 Loss
Mark Stewart was superb against Nichols. The left-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 6-2 Cyclones victory. The misery continues for the Gnats, which has now dropped 12 in a row.

Jens de Wijs put Coney Island in front, 4-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Jorge Salazar in the bottom of the second. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Coney Island manager Tony Chávez.
