Adkins Leads Eugene to Win
Eugene starter Jake Adkins kept the Nichols offense under clamps, while his team rolled to a 11-0 win. José Díaz earned the save for Eugene, his 1st. The misery continues for the Gnats, which has now dropped 10 in a row.

The Emeralds liked what they saw from Adkins. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Gnats to no earned runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, and striking out 11.

"This losing is getting old," said Nichols manager Quinn Patrick.
